Every great trip starts with a simple question:
Where should we go next?
For us, the answer is usually the same.
Anywhere.
That idea is what inspired Anywhere is the Plan.
This site is primarily run by Lori and Drew, two travelers who share a love of exploring new places, discovering hidden gems, and documenting the experiences that make each trip memorable.
Many of our adventures include close friends, who often travel with us and bring their own energy and perspectives to the journey.
Sometimes our trips take us across the ocean to places we’ve never been before. Other times they’re quick weekend escapes or spontaneous getaways that started with nothing more than a good idea and a cheap flight.
No matter where we go, we’ve found that the best trips usually begin the same way:
with curiosity
and a loose plan.
Sometimes the destination is clear.
Sometimes it evolves along the way.
And sometimes the best memories come from the moments we never planned at all.
Why We Started This Blog
Over the years we’ve taken a lot of trips together.
Some have been carefully planned itineraries with maps, reservations, and a long list of places we wanted to see.
Others started with a simple conversation: “Where should we go next?”
Travel always gives us stories worth telling — whether it’s discovering an amazing city, finding a hidden restaurant, getting lost somewhere unexpectedly beautiful, or just laughing about the little things that inevitably happen when you’re traveling with friends.
We realized that instead of letting those experiences fade into memory, we wanted to document them and share them with others who love travel as much as we do.
So Anywhere is the Plan became our way of doing that.

Our trips tend to be a mix of a few things:
• exploring cities with history and character
• great food worth traveling for
• beautiful scenery and memorable landscapes
• unique experiences you can’t get at home
Some trips are packed with sightseeing. Others are slower and more relaxed.
But every trip is about the same thing: experiencing a place in a way that feels authentic and memorable.
