Tacos My Blessing & The Bog Brewing Co.

Destination St. Augustine, Florida Local Tourist Rating Food Drinks Atmosphere Value

It’s Saturday afternoon and after a full day of wandering into every cute, artsy, crafty little shop that caught our eye, from north Palm Coast to St. Augustine we were ready for lunch.

I don’t know what we were thinking trying to get parking in the afternoon on St. Patrick’s Day weekend in downtown St. Augustine – temporary insanity – We did a lap around down town (which is longer than it sounds) stopping at a couple other restaurants with no parking as well. We decided to keep heading home and find something unique along the way.

When we crossed the West King Street bridge – that’s when our lunch prayers were answered and we saw Tacos My Blessing food truck located right behind The Bog Brewing Company.

And let me tell you… the wait was worth it! Food, vibe and cost were 10/10.

We devoured these amazingly flavorful steak, chicken and chorizo tacos with fresh corn flour tortillas. Topped with cilantro, onions, spicy salsa verde, and radish slices. With their fresh tortillas chips and salsa. Which paired perfectly with our drinks we ordered and sipped while we waited for our food.

After we ordered from their charming yellow food truck we entered the back entrance of The Bog Brewing Company. The buildings back wall displays a huge colorful geometric mural that’s impossible to look away from that complemented the truck and was very enjoyable to look at from our table.

The inside of the brewery is spacious even with the large exposed fermentation tanks that can be viewed on the south wall. The ceiling is strung with colorful Christmas lights and the pillars are covered from floor to ceiling in stickers. The whole combination gives this a creative, laid-back vibe. They even have board games available, to play solo or with a group. The menu wall is also simple and easy to read, so choosing your drink is quick and enjoyable before heading back out to enjoy tacos.

The outdoor seating area is relaxed and welcoming, with umbrellas for shade, plenty of space to stand, walk around, and even play a few games while you enjoy your food and drinks.

My Mom, Lori, had their Cream Ale on tap. A blend of German Pale Ale and Pilsner Malt. Was very refreshing for the sunny warm day. My husband, Jonathan, had their Mango Belgian IPA on tap. Although darker than typical IPAs, it was crisp with a fruity touch. Also perfect for the sunny day.

The whole space feels like a hidden local gem.

A shoutout to the perfect duo of Tacos My Blessing and The Bog Brewing Company. Not only was the staff fun, complementary, and over all lovely – but the combination of fresh tacos, craft beer and games makes this spot such a fun visit in St. Augustine.

Local Tourist Tip
If you’re visiting St. Augustine during a holiday weekend or festival, plan ahead for parking or consider grabbing an Uber. The crowds can be part of the fun—but finding a parking space can sometimes become its own adventure.

After a day well spent of exploring shops and seeing the sites (traffic) a great day ended perfectly thanks to a lucky parking spot.
